The Powered by You fitness movement is a 365 day fitness and health initiative targeting the obesity epidemic.
The focus of the Powered by You fitness movement is to reach the younger more impressionable generation by promoting and encouraging health and activity through events like the SUBWAY� Washington Games. It uses the influence of sports marketing to shed light on the issue of obesity, the number one most preventable cause of death and disease. By providing participants with knowledge, motivation, self-confidence and positive role models, it empowers youth to make healthy lifestyle choices.
The National Congress of State Games (NCSG) is a membership organization comprised of 37 Summer State Games and 14 Winter State Games organizations and a community-based member of the United States Olympic Committee. The NCSG is also the rights holder of the State Games of America, an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Games medal winners (gold, silver, bronze) from across the nation.
Currently over 40 states and 500,000 people across the country participate in State Games.
The Seattle Sports Commission (SSC) promotes, attracts and develops sports and recreational events with the purpose of enhancing economic prosperity in the Puget Sound region.
